Franklin Theatre Songwriters Series Presents: Bradley Gaskin, Tim James, and Danny Myrick

    Bradley Gaskin

Bradley Gaskin thinks of his grandpa every time he hears a great country song. Grandpa LeRoy “Bo” Hammac first introduced him to the honky-tonk side of country through George Jones which fueled him on the road to country music.

Following his solo-written Top 40 breakthrough with “Mr. Bartender” and having his songs recorded by other artists, Gaskin returned home to Duck Springs, Alabama, where he embraced honest work — hanging drywall, working in a sawmill, and serving as a janitor at his daughter’s elementary school.

Today, he enters a new chapter as the lead artist for 30A Life Records, with music produced by legendary hitmaker Keith Stegall, who says, “Singers are a dime a dozen, but exceptional artists like Bradley are true music makers.” With that endorsement — and his trademark grit and passion for country music — Gaskin’s current single “Bout Damn Did” is climbing the charts.

    Tim James

Grammy Award-winning songwriter Tim James has penned over 90 major label cuts for artists including Kenny Chesney, Chris Stapleton, George Strait, Darius Rucker, Alabama, and Lee Brice.

His credits include the 5-week #1 “My List” (Toby Keith), the Billboard Song of the Year and record-breaking chart hit “Love Like Crazy” (Lee Brice), and the Grammy-nominated “All I Ask For Anymore” (Trace Adkins). James also wrote Chris Stapleton’s “Either Way” from the Grammy Award-winning From A Room, Volume 1, the Chris Stapleton/George Strait duet “Honky Tonk Hall of Fame,” and the George Strait #1 “Give It All We Got Tonight.”

With a catalog spanning country’s biggest names and multiple award nominations, Tim James is one of Nashville’s most accomplished songwriters.

    Danny Myrick

A self-described “recovering preacher’s kid” from Pascagoula, Mississippi, Danny Myrick scored his first #1 gospel song at 17 and racked up 7 more before co-founding country rock band Western Flyer.

His songs have sold over 20 million records and surpassed a billion streams, with cuts by Jason Aldean, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Joe Cocker, and Eddie Vedder. Hits include Jason Aldean’s “She’s Country,” Tim McGraw’s “Truck Yeah,” Craig Morgan’s “International Harvester,” and LoCash’s “I Love This Life.” He also produced the #1 gospel album Company’s Comin’ by Leslie Jordan and co-wrote “One More Sunset” from Kenny Chesney’s Born.

In 2025, Danny was inducted into the Mississippi Songwriters Hall of Fame alongside blues legend John Lee Hooker. He remains actively involved with Songwriting With Soldiers, helping veterans tell their stories through song.

Opener Stevenson Everett presented by Nashville Basement Stage

Stevenson Everett is a Nashville area singer-songwriter with Georgia roots.  Stevenson makes emotionally grounded, genre-blending music rooted in storytelling.  His songs, like Things You Hate, Things I Love and Bury Me in Louisiana, live at the intersection of Americana, pop, country, soul, and gospel.  Driven by a warm, expressive vocal and a deep sense of authenticity, Stevenson’s style has been compared to Dan Fogleberg, Kenny Loggins and James Taylor.  He travels regularly to volunteer with Songwriting with Soldiers, a program that pairs veterans, service members, and their families with professional songwriters.

In 2024, Stevenson was selected as an original artist member of Nashville Basement Stage, where he remains an NBS patron favorite.  Stevenson’s latest album, Lost and Found, was written for and with his wife and daughters, and blends Disney classic covers with original family songs suitable for the entire family.
