Adam Wingard (YOU’RE NEXT, THE GUEST) returns to his genre roots after a brief foray into big budget entries in the GODZILLA VS. KONG franchise with this nifty nostalgic riff on 80s action flicks. Quoting directly from James Cameron’s TERMINATOR films and John Carpenter’s ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13, this intense exercise in over-the-top action/horror (with more than a little touch of humor) would feel right at home on the New Release shelf of your local video store circa 1986.
